The mouth watering dishes offer the best of local produce from Charles Henly of Tholthorpe, Hartleys Butchers and R spilman of Helperby.

The New Inn TholthorpeThe smart, whitewashed exterior of The New Inn at Tholthorpe unfolds into a bar and dining room where the best of the new combines with the finest of years gone by to create the perfect venue for eating, and meeting and greeting friends old and new. Our beamed ceilings, traditional furniture, bar, extensive tiled floors and dining room (where each table has its own contained candle feature) all form part of the welcoming picture for which The New Inn is so well known in this part of the world.

The village of Tholthorpe itself became famous immediately after the Second World War in 1944 when a Royal Canadian Air force Halifax Bomber, loaded with bombs, crashed immediately after take off from the airfield at Tholthorpe. All eight crew were killed and only the skill of the pilot saved the lives of many others on the ground. This historic event is commemorated throughout the village and, at the New Inn, our photographic record of the event proves to be an item of fascination and reflection for many customers
