After a major re-furb in 2010, the new inn has kept a country pub feel, the warm & cosy bar with real open fire is the perfect setting to meet friends for a pint of well-kept real ale or a glass of wine. The beamed restaurant for a more intimate setting also features a real fire.

The village of Tholthorpe itself became famous immediately after the Second World War in 1944 when a Royal Canadian Air force Halifax Bomber, loaded with bombs, crashed immediately after take off from the airfield at Tholthorpe. All eight crew were killed and only the skill of the pilot saved the lives of many others on the ground. This historic event is commemorated throughout the village and, at the New Inn, our photographic record of the event proves to be an item of fascination and reflection for many customers
